Carry Number Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 6, 2026
Carry Number is a golf performance app that helps golfers track rounds, analyze practice, review swing content, connect with friends, and optionally connect wearable data such as WHOOP recovery, sleep, strain, and workout information. This Privacy Policy explains what information Carry Number may collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, sign-in provider identifiers, and basic profile details you provide.
- Golf and performance data: rounds, scores, shot tracking, club selections, practice notes, goals, achievements, tournament prep notes, and related app activity.
- Location data: approximate or precise location when you choose to use features such as nearby course search, GPS yardage, or map-based round tools.
- Media: swing videos or photos you choose to capture or upload for analysis.
- Friends and community data: friend connections, messages, challenges, and privacy settings you choose to use inside the app.
- Device and usage data: app settings, diagnostics, crash information, and general usage events used to maintain and improve the app.
WHOOP data
If you connect your WHOOP account, Carry Number may request permission to access WHOOP data such as profile information, recovery, cycles, sleep, workouts, heart-rate-related metrics, strain, HRV, resting heart rate, and similar performance information allowed by the scopes you approve.
Carry Number uses WHOOP data to show readiness, recovery, strain, sleep, and golf-performance recommendations. WHOOP data is only accessed after you authorize Carry Number through WHOOP. You can disconnect WHOOP from inside Carry Number or revoke access through WHOOP.
How we use information
- Provide core golf tracking, score, map, practice, and analysis features.
- Personalize insights, readiness recommendations, goals, and app experience.
- Authenticate accounts and keep your data associated with your account.
- Generate swing, performance, and practice feedback when you choose to use those features.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve app quality.
How information is stored
Carry Number may store information locally on your device and in cloud services such as Firebase. WHOOP access tokens are intended to be stored server-side and not inside the iOS app. Some app data may remain on your device unless you delete the app, sign out, or use available deletion features.
Data retention and deletion
Carry Number keeps personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the app, maintain account records, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and improve app reliability.
- Account deletion: you can delete your account from Settings inside Carry Number. Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated app data from active systems.
- Local device data: some information may remain on your device until you delete the app or clear local app data.
- Backups and logs: limited information may remain in backups, security logs, crash logs, or audit records for a reasonable period before being deleted or overwritten.
- Legal or safety retention: we may retain information if required to comply with law, enforce terms, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect users and the app.
- WHOOP disconnection: disconnecting WHOOP stops future access where supported, but you may also revoke Carry Number access directly through WHOOP.
You can request help with data access or deletion by contacting support at support@carrynumber.app.
Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the app, such as authentication, cloud storage, database, analytics, AI processing, or infrastructure providers. If you use friends or sharing features, information you choose to share may be visible to the people you share it with.

- You can choose not to connect WHOOP.
- You can revoke WHOOP access from WHOOP or disconnect it in Carry Number when available.
- You can disable location access in iOS Settings.
- You can delete your Carry Number account from Settings inside the app.
- You can delete uploaded media or app data where the app provides deletion controls.
- You can request help with account deletion or data deletion by contacting support.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
